As a kid...
Growing up, I was a curious kid. My parents often found me in the kitchen cooking or baking. I'd bake just about anything from cakes, to cookies and pies. My childhood was filled with dreams of becoming a chef and creating delicious meals for others.. Whether I was baking treats for family or friends, I always sought out feedback that helped me to improve. My room was a testament to my curiosity, filled with cookbooks, cooking magazines, and my mom's personal recipe notebook. This endless curiosity laid the foundation for my future cooking endeavors.
Then the entrepreneurship bug bit me...
In high school, my interest shifted from cooking to business. I worked with my mom selling various things at the local flea market. The thrill of making a sale and seeing how happy our customers were with their purchases was addictive. However I still had a passion for cooking and baking. I enjoyed cooking, so much I'd watch every cooking show I could. I took home economics classes, so I could learn how to merge my love of cooking and business. The more I learned, the more I realized there was a way to combine my love of cooking with a purpose.I was determined to hone my skills. Many of my friends were recruited to be my taste testers as I improved. This passion for cooking continued to grow as I entered college, where I majored in culinary arts and restaurant management. My ultimate goal was to become a top chef and open my own restaurant. I took every opportunity to learn about opening and running my own family run restaurant business.
My cooking career did not go as planned...
For two years, I worked as a chef, pouring my creativity and energy into everything I prepared. However, after a severe cooking accident left me with lasting injuries, I stepped away from the kitchen entirely. The experience was frightening, and for a time, I thought my passion of cooking was behind me. Life led me down a new path, teaching. I discovered for guiding young learners and dedicated myself to helping my students grow in reading writing, and math. Teaching gave me a new sense of purpose, but it also left little time for me to fully pursue my other passion, baking. Still, I couldn't let go of baking altogether. I began creating special occasion cakes for friends and family.I poured the same care and creativity into each one that I once brought to my restaurant work. While my teaching career has been my primary focus, being a chef remained a quiet dream-something I set aside, but never let go of.
Finally, I cracked the code!
I'd always been passionate about both teaching and baking, and as a proud dog parent, I found the perfect way to combine the two. What started as creating wholesome treats for my own dogs-my eager and honest taste testers- grew into a way to help other pet parents. I wanted to show that baking for our pets can be simple, natural, and a powerful way to support their health at every stage of their life. Whether they're energetic puppies experienced seniors, or pets with dietary needs. Life has a funny way of putting you in the right place at the right time. I stumbled upon digital marketing. It started with a free webinar on social media marketing that piqued my interest. I decided to dive deeper and invested in comprehensive courses covering SEO, social media marketing, email campaigns, and pay-per-click advertising. I immersed myself in learning everything I could about these strategies. I applied these newfound skills to a new venture—an online DIY dog treat course. I used social media to create engaging content, optimized my website for search engines, and built an email list to nurture leads. The results were astounding. My client base grew rapidly, and my revenue soared. I realized the power of digital marketing to reach a vast audience and convert interest into sales. This success story was not just a fluke; it was the result of strategic planning, consistent effort, and leveraging the right tools.
